You close your eyes… but your mind keeps talking?
Bringing your attention back to your breathing, again and again. Wondering whether you’re doing it right. Finding it hard to take a few minutes without having to achieve anything. Meditation isn’t always easy, whether you’re new to it or have practised for years.
Bio Music One offers two ways to meditate with music. Try either one, or both, and see which works best for you.
Two ways to meditate. You choose.
BMO Sonic Meditation
A meditation practice in its own right, with no technique to follow. Sit or lie down, put on your headphones and let the music play. Notice whatever comes up: a sensation, an emotion, an image… or simply the pleasure of taking a moment for yourself.
Your usual meditation, with BMO
Keep practising the way you normally do, whether in silence, through mindfulness or with breathing exercises. Play a BMO album softly in the background, or use Inaudible & Continuous mode if you prefer to keep the silence.
Already meditate? You can also try Sonic Meditation. Many experienced meditators describe discovering a different way to pay attention to themselves.
Another way to pay attention
Many meditation practices
You follow a technique: breathing, focusing on something, or visualisation.
When your attention wanders, you bring it back.
You may wonder whether you are doing it right.
BMO Sonic Meditation
No technique to follow: the music accompanies you.
You welcome whatever you feel, without trying to force a particular result.
There is nothing to get right. Just allow the experience to unfold. A sense of calm or relief may arise naturally.
These approaches are not in competition. You can use either, or move between them, depending on the day.
Three simple steps to get started
1. Choose an album you like today
Listen to the free excerpts and choose an album that appeals to you. You may prefer a different one tomorrow. There is no wrong choice.
2. Choose how you want to listen
Use headphones and close your eyes for Sonic Meditation. Or play BMO in the background, audibly or in Inaudible & Continuous mode, during your usual meditation.
3. Notice whatever comes up
Relaxation, calm, an image, an emotion… Sometimes you may notice very little. That is part of the experience too.
Nothing to achieve. Nothing to force. Nothing to figure out.
